BIPASHA REPORTEDLY GETS REALLY UP, CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH RONALDO IN LISBON

While Bipasha Basu devoured all the limelight at the New Seven Wonders of the World ceremony like a hungry jackal, she's got some lip-smacking news for the cool buddies back home too. The Bong bombshell did more than putting the Taj on the Seven Wonders of the World. After the ceremony, she partied away to glory with the soccer ace Cristiano Ronaldo at the Belem Club in Lisbon.

The 22-year-old Ronaldo showed more than just the fancy footwork to the dusky beauty from Bollywood. The chemistry was too good for them to end with the dance. So, we hear, they cosied away with the footie ace inundating her some cheeky kisses. Of course, our lady was lapping them all up with gusto as she was getting from Ronaldo. Must say, our actresses are really slurping up all the goodwill from their Western counterparts.

Bollywood heartthrob John Abraham has lost weight to play the part of a compulsive gambler who falls sick after striking it rich, a newspaper reported Friday.

Abraham told the Mumbai Mirror that he needed to portray a feeble-looking man in the movie — titled Aashayein or Hope — which is being shot in Pondicherry in southern India. The movie is directed by well-known filmmaker Nagesh Kuknoor.

"Yes, it is true that I have lost a lot of weight for the film," Abraham said. "I did it to match the brief I was given."

Producer Preet Bedi said a gym had been set up next door to Abraham's hotel room so he could stay fit. "John is someone who is extremely serious about his workout schedule," said Bedi. "The gym has been set up to keep his weight in check and also to keep him fit."

Abraham, a former model, has often been voted one of Bollywood's sexiest stars in movie polls and has starred in several blockbusters since he struck fame with the 2004 hit Dhoom, or Bang.

He recently won praise for his role as a law student who falls in love with a widow in Oscar-nominated film, Water. The film dealt with the harsh treatment meted out to widows in India in the 1930s.

It is the bane of Bollywood actors that either someone is splitting up or someone is marrying someone else's spouse. And both of them are making news for the wrong reasons. Rumours are thick and rife that John Abraham and Bipasha Basu are going to come apart. The reasons are not difficult to find. Each one is basking in the glory or their co-stars company -- physically -- it is alleged. There is an iota of truth in the news because John and Bips have not been seen in the company of each other for quiet a long time. They also claim that their bahu (Aditya's first wife) is still with them.
But, one thing we can say for sure, all is not well with both the relationships because fame has way of tearing apart sensitive relationships and these two relationships are classic examples.
