FINALLY THE D-DAY ARRIVES FOR SHANKARDADA TO GIVE US GANDHI GYAN

The long wait is finally over. The director has tied out all the loose ends, the producers have cashed in on all the territories and the actors have played their part to the fullest. And Shankardada Zindabad is set to roll out on Friday. That is in just a couple of hours from now. And it is just a matter of time before it hits the screens near you. Given a solid storyline and emotionally rich elements, including the Gandhi factor, there is no reason why it shouldn't pull at the heart strings of the audiences.

Chiranjeevi, who was mighty upset at the way Shankardada MBBS has fared, has taken all possible measures to ensure that the second part would break all box-office records. So, right from casting the director, to choosing the producers, to taking an active interest in the overall production of the film, he has done it all.

He even roped in Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan for the audio release function, and had Mamata Mohandas dance to the tunes of Devi Sri Prasad. And managed to create a hype around the film.

10 reasons why Shankardada Zindabad will be a milestone in Telugu cinema

1. Four actors -- Pawan Kalyan, Ravi Teja, Allu Rajun and Srikanth will shake a leg in one song in the film.

2. Dileep Prabhavalkar, who gave a mesmerising performance in the film, is out to prove his mettle again.

3. Chiranjeevi has given his best so far for the film. And so has Srikanth.

4. Karishma Kotak is an added attraction for the film, for the simple reason she is raw and relatively untapped potential. So, there is curiosity among the audiences of how she will look and act of course, opposite the megastar.

5. There is the Gandhigiri element in the film, which has some good gyan to offer to the people. If you have watched Lage Raho Munnabhai, you will understand how beautifully the Gandhigiri element has been interwoven into the film.

6. Then there is the voluptuous Yana Gupta to get you grooving in an item number. And I must tell you, she is rocking, man.

7. Seven old actors, including Kanta Rao, will bring in the old element of nostalgia in their Second Innings house.

8. Prabhu Deva has the magic of painting images on film. So, his direction is eagerly being looked forward to.

9. Then there are the Paruchuri Brothers, who was famous for their dialogues, and in this film, we hear, they have put in extra effort to deliver the punch lines in a better fashion.

10. And lastly, the music is rocking. And you can expect some dhoom-dhaam dance sequences to rouse the masses out of their emotional inertia.

So, go for this one and have fun. All the best

PAWAN KALYAN SEEKS DIVORCE FROM FIRST WIFE NANDINI, FILES PETITION IN FAMILY COURT

PAWAN KALYAN

PAWAN KALYAN, RENU DESAI AND THEIR SON

After lying low for over a month, actor Pawan Kalyan filed for divorce from his first wife Konidala Nandini on the grounds of cruelty and desertion. The divorce petition was filed by him in the family court in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.

Advocate K Kusumasri, who filed the petition on behalf of the actor, said that her client is seeking divorce under section 13(1)(A)(B) of the Hindu Marriage Act of 1955, citing irreconcilable differences.

The petition registered in the court as OP 590/2007, has been posted for hearing on September 5 when the actor has to present himself before the court.

Pawan, in his petition, also cited Nandini's frequent threats that he should quit the film world for her sake and her 'disrespect' towards members of his 'mega' family.

The actor, in his petition, claimed that Nandini left him in October 1997 and refused to come back. And that he has been living apart from her since then. Pawan and Nandini got married on May 17, 1997, in Shirdi.

Meanwhile, Nandini's family is yet to come to grips with Pawan's 'wild allegations,' as revealed by Nandini's lawyer Devara Satyanarayana. He said that initially, Nandini's stand was to go for rapprochement. But, if there is no course for reunion, the family would fight the case on an equal footing, he said.

It was Nandini who started it all, by filing a bigamy case in the first additional metropolitan magistrate court against Pawan and his family on June 22. Later, she moved the family court, seeking alimony. The family court had asked the actor to depose before it on July 31.

The three town police, who took Nandini's statements and went into the whole gamut of the case, said they will submit a report to the court on Thursday.

Earlier, the metropolitan magistrate court had ordered the police to submit a detailed report on the case by July 26.

PREETI JHANGIANI WANTS TO MAKE IT BIG IN TOLLYWOOD AGAIN. GETS CAST IN AN INSIGFICANT FILM

Remember Preeti Jhangiani? The cute little kid who covered herself all over in Mohabbatein, and predictably after not getting any offers after that, decided to strip her way to stardom. But, unfortunately, there were no takers for her. So, many of her ilk, she has been hanging around the sidelines of the Hindi film industry on the lookout for bakras.

The dame, who had earlier acted in a couple of Telugu films, including Narasimha Naidu, opposite Balakrishna, and with Pawan Kalyan in Tammudu, has entered the Telugu film industry once again to try her luck. But this time, there are no big offers coming her way. She is cast opposite Rajiv Kanakala and Allari Naresh, in a film the latter are doing together.

But what is important is that the babe wants to settle down in the South, especially in Hyderabad, for which she has been learning to speak Telugu, we hear. Little wonder, why all the actors seek to cast their spell on the Telugu audiences when their heydays are over!!

POLICE RECORD STATEMENT OF NANDINI, PAWAN KALYAN'S FIRST WIFE, IN THE BIGAMY CASE

Police recorded the statement of Nandini, the first wife of Pawan Kalyan, who filed a bigamy case against the actor for having married Renu Desai without divorcing her.

On Sunday night police visited the house of Nandini, who lives in Peda Waltair Doctors' Colony, and recorded her statement, and the statement of her family members. The police have said that they would produce the report to the court before July 26.

Meanwhile, Nandini's lawyer has said that there was no move to forge a compromise in the case as reported in certain sections of the press.

On Tuesday, Nandini filed a case against Pawan Kalyan in Vizag metropolitan court under Section 494, and sought ‘maintenance’ of Rs 5 lakh per month from Pawan Kalyan. She named 14 members of Pawan Kalyan family including Chiranjeevi and Nagababu in the case.

IS CHIRUTHA BREAKING ALL RECORDS IN THE TELUGU FILM INDUSTRY? IT'S DOING BUSINESS OF RS 30 CRORE AND ABOVE

There is no denying the fact that Ram Charan Teja's debut is the most awaited debut of the decade. For two reasons. One, it is for the first time that a son of the '80s actor, who went on to become a legend, Chiranjeevi, is becoming a hero. And two, it has the best director of the day, Puri Jagannadh, direting it. And this has naturally hpyed the craze for the film. And now, with the frenzy over Sivaji: The Boss settling down, all eyes are on this Chirutha. Everyday there are rumours floating around how the film is breaking every possible record established by the superstars in the industry. First it was the audio rights, which it was claimed went for a cool Rs 1 crore. While it was the hot topic under circulation, comes the news that the film has been doing business to the tune of Rs 30 crore and above. Wow, even Chiranjeevi's films weren't discussed so much. The last time we heard was Pawan Kalyan's startling rise to fame with Badri and the films that followed and next it was Mahesh Babu's turn to hit such a high. But this young cub, Ram Charan Teja, seems to have gone ahead and beaten them hollow in the race. Will he be able to repeat the magic on screen?

ASIN TALKS BIG, AND CAN'T STOP TALKING: WILL SOMEONE TELL HER TO SHUT UP AND PUT UP?

Asin, who has wowed the South Indian audiences with her mesmerising beauty and her acting talent, has been consistent in one thing: teaming up with all the top actors. She has acted with almost all of them in Telugu -- Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Pawan Kalyan, Ravi Teja -- you name the star and she has done films with them. Without exception. Maybe Mahesh Babu looks a little too young besides her, which is why he hadn't opted her in his films, and it will take some time for Chiranjeevi to realise her potential.

Not just Tollywood, she is even a name to reckon with in Kollywood -- the Tamily film industry. And now she is pairing opposite Aamir Khan and she is on cloud 9. And she can't help boasting. "Everyone has been saying that after Hema Malini and Sri Devi, I will be as popular in the country." It's a little too much Asin, without even finishing your first film in Bollywood. We know you have the talent and the looks, but they make a good combination when it is tempered with modesty.

Why only Bollywood, she throws around names like Hollywood too. "Wherever I go, whether it is Bollywood or Hollywood, I will still remain Asin," says she. But who wanted you change, Asin?

She also claims that she is not apprehensive about anyone stealing her position in the Telugu film industry. What position does she enjoy in the Telugu film industry today? None. Because the likes of Ileana have pushed her out of the scene long time back. And, as far as we know, no Tollywood filmmaker is planning to cast her against the top heroes her.

It is not difficult to fathom her big airs. Right now, she is doing Dasavataram with Kamal Hassan, apart from Aamir Khan, which explains her haughty talk.
